April 09, 2010. Hermitech switches Formulator 4.0 software to the Dual-Licensing model. Formulator is now available either under the commercial licesne, or under the GPL open source license (SourceForge.net, Google Code).

March 16, 2010. Hermitech Online MathML Editor is available for testing.
In addition to our cross-platform edition, we have developed a special edition of our MathML software that should be run inside an Internet browser. Choosing among available techniques we decided to port our software to some of existing browser plugins (as opposed to a scripting language approach), and selected Silverlight plugin by Microsoft. General picture of this solution includes a server part that is working on MS Windows operating system, and a very thin Silverlight client, that is working inside a browser and in ideal case should not depend on operating system.
Currently the online version of Formulator MathML editor is available on our test server. This set of features is already good enough to perform most popular operations, such as: to create/open/save formulas in Presentation, Content and mixed markups of MathML; to export formulas to MathML text or to an image; to cut/copy /paste formulas, etc.

January 20, 2010. Hermitech announces the availability of Formulator 4.0 software, the set of tools for creating learning activities and for authoring documents containing math data, including free mathematical equation editor and tools for software development. In addition to previously available versions for MS Windows, this new release includes cross-platform (MS Windows/Linux/Mac OS X) and rich internet application solution (using Silverlight) for authoring MathML.
